{"id":15058,"date":"2020-09-17T10:38:39","date_gmt":"2020-09-17T08:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cityofliterature.nl\/?p=15058"},"modified":"2020-09-17T10:38:39","modified_gmt":"2020-09-17T08:38:39","slug":"online-verzet-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cityofliterature.nl\/en\/online-verzet-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Online VERZET launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday 22 September at 7pm BST the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/r1.dmtrk.net\/4MXW-WZXD-3LW3AW-QSLPD-1\/c.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VERZET<\/a>, a collection of beautifully designed chapbooks published by Strangers Press will take place.<\/p>\n<p>VERZET showcases the work of eight of the most exciting writers working in the Netherlands today \u2013 from award winners to new voices, all long overdue or dearly deserving of English language translations. If you haven&#8217;t heard of them yet, you will.<\/p>\n<p>For this event, writer, editor and translator Daniel Hahn will be in conversation with VERZET contributing writers Karin Amatmoekrim and Thomas Heerma van Voss, and translators Alice Tetley-Paul and Jozef van der\u00a0Voort. Their discussion will be followed by a live Q&amp;A where you can submit your questions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;VERZET is the fine, cutting edge of Dutch writing; a symphony of diverse voices singing lyrical and often startling melodies of truth, inner turmoil, hope and longing&#8217; \u2013 Shannon Clinton-Copeland<\/p>\n<p><b>This event will take place on YouTube.
